Refund and cancellation policy

What you are charged, how to stop being charged, and what happens to the remainder of a month you have already paid for.

1. How billing works

  • cistem.ai is sold as a monthly subscription, charged in advance. Each payment covers the month that follows it.
  • Payments are collected by Razorpay. We do not store your card details — Razorpay holds them, and cistem.ai only ever sees whether a charge succeeded.
  • Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it. There is no minimum term and no lock-in period.
  • There is no free trial. Your account becomes active when the first payment succeeds.

2. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your account inside cistem.ai, or by emailing us at [email protected]. We do not ask for a reason and there is no cancellation fee.

Cancelling stops the next payment; it does not end the month you have paid for. Your account keeps working normally until the last day of the current billing period, and then closes. You will not be charged again.

3. Refunds

We do not refund part-used months. Because cancelling leaves your account fully usable until the end of the period you paid for, that period is not unused — you keep the service you bought.

We will refund a payment in full where the charge itself was wrong. That covers:

  • A duplicate charge for the same billing period.
  • A charge taken after you had already cancelled.
  • A charge on an account you never activated or could not use because of a fault on our side.

Write to [email protected] within 30 days of the charge and we will investigate. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Razorpay and typically appear within 5–7 working days, depending on your bank.

4. If a renewal payment fails

We do not close your account the moment a card is declined. A failed renewal puts the subscription into a short grace period during which the account keeps working and payment is retried. If it still has not gone through by the end of that window, access ends until payment is brought up to date.

We email you when a renewal fails, so the usual fix — a card that has expired — can be sorted before anything stops working.

5. Price changes

If we change the subscription price we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it affects you, and the new price applies from your next billing period. You are free to cancel before it takes effect.

6. Your data after cancellation

Cancelling stops billing and closes your access. It does not, by itself, delete your records. If you want your data exported before you go, or deleted after, ask at [email protected] — both are things we will do. Our privacy policy covers how long we keep what.

7. Getting in touch

Billing questions, cancellations and refund requests all go to [email protected]. Our contact page has our phone number and support hours.
